Paid leave is an important category of employment rights that allows employees to be absent from work while still receiving their salary in certain life situations. HOW TO EXERCISE THE RIGHT TO PAID LEAVE
Employees must submit a request for leave to their employer, along with supporting documentation that confirms the reason for the leave (unless the reason is generally known). Paid leave can be used at the time the specified situation occurs.
The employer is obliged to keep a record of the use of paid leave.
This is regulated by the General Collective Agreement. If there is a sectoral collective agreement for your industry (or a special one), its conditions may be more favorable, but in no case can they be less favorable than those in the General Collective Agreement.
Paid leave is an important part of labor rights, allowing employees in Montenegro to balance professional and personal responsibilities during key life moments. Timely information and proper use of this right contribute to job satisfaction and a healthier work environment.
