As of October 15st 2024, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Montenegro has introduced new rules for extending residence permits for executive directors of companies in which they are the sole owners or hold more than 51% of the capital.
According to the new regulations, in addition to the existing documentation, it is now mandatory to provide additional evidence confirming the executive director’s status and the company’s operating conditions.
Proper collection and submission of these documents are crucial to avoid complications and delays in the process.
