The Government of Montenegro has adopted a Decision on temporary measures to limit the prices of products of special importance for human life and health, with the aim of protecting the living standard of citizens and stabilizing the market of basic food and hygiene products.
LIMITATION OF MARGINS
According to the new rules, the prices of products on the list are regulated by setting maximum margins:
For one group of products, a higher limit applies: up to 15% margin in both wholesale and retail.
LIMITATION OF PELLET PRICES
The decision also sets the highest pellet price:
For packages smaller than one ton, the price is determined proportionally, and all values include VAT.
DURATION OF THE DECISION
The decision will remain in force until March 31, 2026.
It is important to note that the decision does not apply to retailers whose sales facilities do not exceed a total area of 600 m².
