Real Estate Agents Register: What Agencies Need to Know

In July 2026, new rules were introduced regarding applications for the Real Estate Agents Register, along with the new PP Form. This form will be used for registration, reporting changes, and removing an agency from the Register.

One of the most important changes for existing real estate agencies is the extended registration deadline. The original 12-month deadline has now been extended to 24 months, giving agencies until 13 August 2027 to register.

Here’s a quick overview of the key changes.

A NEW PP FORM HAS BEEN INTRODUCED

The new form makes it clearer what information will be kept in the Register about real estate agencies and agents working in the property market.

When registering, agencies will need to provide basic business details, including the company name, registered address, TIN (PIB), registration number and contact details. Information about the owner and agents who have passed the required professional exam will also be recorded.

The PP Form won’t only be used when an agency first registers. It will also be used to report certain changes that happen while the agency is operating.

WHAT CHANGES NEED TO BE REPORTED?

Once an agency is registered, there are still certain changes that need to be reported and kept up to date.

These include:

• adding or removing agents who have passed the professional exam;
• changing the company name;
• changing the registered business address;
• other relevant business changes;
• removing the agency from the Register.

The idea is to keep the Register up to date with accurate information about agencies and any important changes to their business.

AGENT DETAILS WILL ALSO BE RECORDED

The PP Form has a separate section for agents who have passed the professional exam.

This section includes their basic personal and contact details, as well as the number of their professional exam certificate.

Agencies will also be able to indicate whether an agent is being added or removed, making it easier to keep information about their current agents up to date.

AGENCIES WILL NEED TO SHOW THAT THEY MEET THE REQUIREMENTS

The new form also gives a clearer picture of the documents agencies will need to provide when applying for registration.

These include:

• proof of registration with the CRPS;
• proof that the agent is employed;
• proof of suitable business premises;
• an insurance policy;
• any other documents required by law.

This means that being entered in the Register isn’t just about having a registered company. Agencies will also need to show that they meet the legal requirements for providing real estate services.

THE DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED TO 24 MONTHS

For agencies that were already operating when the new rules came into effect, the registration deadline is especially important. The new deadline for registration is 13 August 2027.
