Non-Working Days for Easter

Employees of the Orthodox faith are entitled to paid leave for the celebration of Easter in 2025, as follows:

 

OBLIGATIONS OF EMPLOYEES

Employees who wish to celebrate a religious holiday are required to notify their employer no later than three days before the holiday.

 

OBLIGATIONS OF EMPLOYERS

Employers have the right to organize work during public holidays, but in that case they are required to:

  1. Increase employee wages – The basic hourly wage must be increased by at least 150%.
  2. Notify the Labor Inspection – No later than three days before the holiday, using the form sent to the email address: milodarka.kuveljic@mrzs.gov.me
  3. Notify employees – The work schedule during the holiday must be clearly posted on the notice board.
